Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: What should I expect?

Compared to an English wedding, Greek weddings start later in the day and will run until the early hours of the morning. The day will start with a Greek Orthodox ceremony around 18:00, followed by a cocktail hour, dinner and dancing. More details on the precise timings will be included in our schedule page closer to the date.

For those of you who are not familiar with what the Greek Orthodox ceremony entails, information booklets will be available on the day.

Q2: Can I bring any extra guests?

You may bring a plus one if indicated in your invitations. Please make sure to share the details and dietary preferences of your plus one when you RSVP.

Q3: What is the dress code?

The dress code for our wedding is formal but not black tie (we would encourage suits and ties, dresses or formal separates). Please be mindful of the weather as September in Greece can be quite warm!

Q4: Can I post photos on social media?

Of course – please use our wedding hashtag #ChrisangelinaMike24

Q5: Will there be plate smashing?

Unfortunately, we have been contractually barred from plate smashing. One for the vow renewal…
